Why is wedding photography important?
Wedding photography is often underappreciated by couples before the wedding. In a study where 100 couples were polled, photography ranked 4th on the list of importance before the wedding. Food, entertainment and clothing were the top 3. Brides especially were concerned with making sure that they looked perfect and that their guests had a good time. However, when the same 100 couples were polled after their weddings, 48 said they wished they had spent more on photography and less on food, entertainment or clothing. Your wedding day is a one time event. It can never be recreated. The meal is important. The entertainment is important. And of course everyone wants to look their best for the special day. But long after the dinner is gone and the blisters have healed from the electric slide, the memories from your wedding will live on in the photography.
Why is it important to use a professional photographer?
A professional photographer will capture the important moments from your wedding day and provide you with high quality images. People who use amateur photographers or "family friends" are often disappointed by the images that they receive or the images that they do not receive because the photographer did not get them. A professional photographer knows what to expect and what to be prepared for. If you choose NRG Weddings, we will discuss your wedding with you and review the common events that take place at most weddings. We will also discuss any special plans you may have to ensure that we are correctly preparred to capture those moments.
What makes NRG Weddings different?
Pride, integrity and experience. NRG Weddings treats every wedding, big or small, as a top priority. We do not charge extra for better service. In fact, we only provide top level service. If we do not feel that we can provide you with our best service, we will let you know. We budget our time to ensure that before, during and after your wedding, our main focus is you. Some companies overbook which can cause conflicts with multiple weddings or delays in image production time. We do not provide subcontracted photographers. The owner of the company will personally photograph your wedding and oversee the image production. This ensures that you get the full experience of NRG Weddings.
What is the difference between Traditional and Photojournalism?
Traditional: Traditional Wedding photography is primarily portrait oriented. The photographer will focus on capturing the moments that are most often associated with weddings such as the couple standing at the altar, the first kiss and the first dance. This style also includes the formal portraits of the couple, the Wedding party and family.
Photojournalism: This style tells the story of your entire Wedding day and focuses on more details than traditional photography. The photographer will arrive early in the day and will capture many of the behind the scenes moments that make the day special for the couple. The Bridal party at the hair salon, A Mother's hand weaving ribbon through her Daughter's Wedding dress, the Groom and his Father sharing a nervous laugh before the ceremony, Aunt Beatrice getting funky on the dance floor. Photojournalism captures all of the memories from start to finish.
NRG Weddings combines traditional and photojournalism to provide you with the best of both styles. We will work with you before the Wedding to discuss specific moments that you may want captured.
